Thank you God for Cherry being a part of our lives, she will be missed. She achieved above average on her report card from the Fresenius Medical Care Dialysis Center. She was one of the strongest women to pass this way even in failing health she strived to do her best. She was retired after working 40 years at Henderson's Fast Food. She was a member of the Washington Consolidated High School class of 1959, attended Talladega College in Talladega, Alabama and a member of Pleasant Hill CME Church.

Born July 24, 1942, in Beachton, she was the daughter of the late Artee and Martha Glenn. Metcalf died Friday, May 6 at Archbold Hospital. Honorary pallbearers are stewards of Pleasant Hill CME Church. Pallbearers are Alphonso Metcalf Jr., Bryan Metcalf, Shedrick Carter, Kelvin Metcalf, Herbert Brinson and Marcus Metcalf. Denny Blake, pastor and interment is in Walden Cemetery in Beachton. Services for Cherry Beatrice Metcalf, 73, of Beachton, are at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2016, at Disciples of Jesus Ministries, 228 Augusta Ave., Thomasville.
